About Me:
I grew up in Manassas, Virginia before being recruited to swim D1 at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. During my time at BGSU, I fell in love with sports nutrition and completed by undergraduate degree in Dietetics. From there, I completed my combined MS/DI at BGSU and fell more in love with nutrition, research and exercise science. After graduation I worked at Rutgers University as a Sports Dietitian before coming to the University of Arizona in 2018 to join the teaching faculty. Here, I have found my home in sports nutrition and human performance, helping to co-create and teach our Nutrition and Human Performance degree program. Returning to school to earn a PhD is something I have had my sights set on to better my teaching and research skills set.
Why I chose the Nutritional Sciences Program at the University of Arizona:
As a teaching faculty member, I was very familiar with the strength of our research faculty and graduate programs, so this was an easy decision. It is such an exciting opportunity for me to pursue a PhD where I currently work and immerse myself in the interdisciplinary opportunities that this program provides!
